When Is A Soap Not A Soap?
Jun 16th
As your body’s largest organ, your skin has many crucial jobs. It makes many of the hormones found in your brain, manufactures vitamin D for the rest of your body, and serves as an intricate communications center!
Since everything you eat eventually makes its way to every organ, including your skin, it’s important to eat a whole foods, plant-based diet like The Hallelujah Diet.
Obviously, the things you put on your skin directly need to promote health as much as your food does.
First and foremost, you need to wash your skin with soap that is not going to interfere with your skin’s many functions.
But be wary… not all soaps are “soap” at all! Most are “detergents.”
What’s the difference?
Soap ingredients are derived from natural sources. Detergents are derived from synthetic substances such as petroleum products with surfactants, foaming agents, and alcohol. Detergents (ie. most body bars and beauty bars) cause many people to experience allergies and other negative reactions.
Most pure “soaps” are made with animal fat or “tallow.” This is not something you want to put on your skin. Whether you ingest animal fat in food or put it on your skin by using soap, it will clog your pores.
A better option is all-vegetarian soaps. There are many on the market, but Hallelujah Acres new Nourishing Soaps are made with something extra that makes them “nourishing”: muscadine seed extract.
Known as American wild grapes or scuppernongs the muscadine contains a unique blend of antioxidants that research suggests may have anti-tumor benefits.
Recent research has revealed a total of 88 phenolic compounds (antioxidants) in muscadines, which included 17 in the pulp, 28 in the skin, and 43 in the seeds.
With Hallelujah Acres Nourishing Soaps, you can literally “shower” yourself with antioxidants! Try a bar — and feed your skin!
Your Soap Makes A Difference

You know that feeling when you’ve tried every brand of a certain product, but then you find one that really works?
The feeling is even better when that product is actually the best product of its kind for your health.
That’s why we were so excited to get this testimony from a man named Gary who tried our new line of Nourishing Soaps.
The soaps didn’t just “work” for Gary. In fact, they did something that made a difference in his life and health…
I’m 63 years old and I live in a high desert area. A couple of years ago I began to have dry patches on my nose and between my eyebrows. My doctor said it was the result of aging skin.
He gave me some lotions and steroidal ointment, but it burned my face so I stopped using it.
In the meantime, we had ordered some of the new Hallelujah Acres Nourishing Soap. I started using the Barley Meadows variety and really like it. It lathers nicely, it rinses clean, and there’s no film.
The very first time I used it the dry patches on my skin disappeared.
I can’t tell what the soap is doing for the inside of my body, but it’s a great product for the outside!
I’ve used all the main brands of bar soap, moisturizing soaps and liquid soaps. I mean, I grew up using lye soap that my grandma made in a kettle. I think I’ve used just about every kind of soap that there is.
I would not hesitate to send out a case of this new soap to everyone I knew just so they could see for themselves how great it is! It’s unbelievable.
Thanks, Gary! We’re excited that our soap is making a difference!
